Starmark Wins D4 ADDYs Best Of Show

AAF Tampa Bay hosted the 2014 Fourth District American Advertising Awards with a “Sieze The Gold” pirate themed gala that even included a rowdy band of pirates who took reception attendees hostage before escorting them to the Riverside Ballroom of the Sheraton Hotel. It was decorated with pirate booty on the tables and a ship on stage. A video presentation by Tampa video production company CMR Studios recognized the 119 Gold and 145 Silver winners selected from 1221 entries that had previously won ADDYs in local competitions from markets in Florida and the Caribbean.

Professional Best of Show went to Starmark of Ft Lauderdale for a non-tradiditional advertising promotion done for the Greater Fort Lauderdale CVB that garnered news coverage on the NBC “Today” show. The Student Best of Show award and scholarship was presented to Jack Dess and Cristina Hernandez of Ringling College of Art and Design for an innovative lighting app concept for hospitalized children called “Crayola Brighten”.

Best of division Charlie Award winners were: Strong Films, fourdiaz vargas, Intuition Ale Works, Tinsley Advertising, Disney Yellow Shoes, Collier Morrison Belgrave, Battle Medialab, Anson-Stoner, Red Advertising & Marketing, Alma DDB, Starmark and two for Ringling College Design Center.
