Networking will start at  11:30, announcements at 11:45 and the speaker starts at noon. The prices for this special event are $25 for AAFT members and $30 for non-members.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the door.

The food options will be:
Tuscan Chicken – ragout of red onions – mushrooms – tomatoes – fresh herbs – and red pepper flakes
Stuffed Portabella Mushroom – served with roasted red pepper coulis – mashed potatoes

Speaker Info:

Michael PalmaMike Palma has had four careers. His first was as Parade Magazine HS All American basketball player in NY. He played at Wake Forest University for 2 years and then transferred to Iona College where he played for Jim Valvano.

His second career was basketball coaching. At The College of the Holy Cross in New England for 6 years.

His third and most lucrative career is in Executive recruiting. Headhunting. Palma began recruiting for ad agencies in 1989. That was nearly 700 placements ago. David Lubars, Alex Bogusky, David Baldwin, Guy Bommarito and Lee Clow are some of the Creative Directors he’s worked with to help attract top talent.

Right after 9/11, Palma took a four year hiatus on the agency side, as a New Business Rainmaker. The stint culminated at BBDO Atlanta, as SVP, Director of Business Development. At BBDO, he was influenced by pitchmen like Andrew Robertson, Mark Goldstein, Nancy Hill (now the CEO of the 4A’s), David Lubars.

In 2006, Michael relaunched The Palma Group as a hybrid ad agency headhunting/rainmaking firm where he’s helped deliver dozens of accounts and hundreds of talented people to agencies since.
