Job Duties:
•Write relevant and engaging original content for various external and internal communication channels and target audiences, including marketing collateral, website, social media, emails, blogs, video scripts, press releases, presentations, and more. Develop an annual content calendar, packaging and repurposing content across different channels to ensure consistent messaging reaches consumers through multiple touchpoints.
•Assist in executing and adapting graphic designs and layouts concepted by in-house senior designer or marketing agency, and using templates or past designs. Modify for a variety of marketing materials, mediums, and channels, including but not limited to print and digital advertisements, social media, internal signage and systems. Also design basic material including flyers, internal communication pieces, presentations, promotional item imprints, social media graphics, etc.
•Work collaboratively with team members in all departments and all markets to develop content and related material that supports the credit union’s strategic business objectives, with an emphasis on differentiating First Commerce.
•Contribute ideas for stories to pitch to media in different markets, and position First Commerce as a subject matter expert. Write articles and blogs for publication as needed. Stay aware of news, trends and opportunities to better position the credit union through storytelling and plugging into timely topics.
•Work with vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and services needed to produce marketing materials. Vendors include printers, sign production companies, specialty promotional items, etc.
•Organize and manage brand-consistent events on behalf of the credit union, including catering, staffing, budgeting, and coordination with community partners both internal team member events and external aligned with strategic business objectives. Preferred, but not required.
•Other duties as assigned.

Other responsibilities:
•Will perform job duties in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors under the rules and regulations set by the National Credit Union Administration, the State of Florida and any applicable state laws for financial centers located in other states.
•Complies with BSA, OFAC, and CIP requirements such as checking names against OFAC for new deposit or loan relationships and issuing cashier checks.
•Fully supports in actions and words First Commerce’s Vision, Mission, Core Values and Service Values.
•Attends meetings timely and as required; reports to work as scheduled and adheres to First Commerce’s dress code.
•Performs other related duties as assigned in accordance with First Commerce’s policies and procedures.


•3-5 years of experience working in journalism, public relations, corporate communications, marketing, or advertising.
•At least 3 years of writing experience for a variety of communication channels, including news stories, press releases, marketing materials, social media, emails, blogs, website content, etc.
•2 years of managing multiple projects and prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
•1-2 years of experience working with the media (television, radio, newspaper, magazine, etc.) preferred.
•1-2 years of experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
•Moderate level of proficiency using Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

•Bachelor’s degree. Strategic Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, or related area preferred.
